Community Navigator volunteers through United Way of Kaw Valley will help clients identify needs and then make referrals to community resources that might benefit and/or support their needs.
The Community Navigator program was established in partnership with many agencies across our community to build the capacity of nonprofit partners, engage more community volunteers, and support individuals and families across our community.
These volunteers will help clients who are seeking help.
Community Navigators can:
- identify needs
- match with available local resources for referrals
Community Navigators can help clients:
- prepare paperwork including online applications
- gather documentation
- access community resources that might benefit and/or support their needs.
With initial preparation and referrals in accessing services, this program creates a long-lasting connection to organizations that can assist individuals in the future as well. This allows for those most in need in our community to have a successful initial meeting to access community resources and programs.
