Create a world of peace through harp music. Solo harpists and ensembles from Topeka, Lawrence, Kansas City, Wichita and Lindsborg will perform live and virtually. Social distancing limit of 25.
Jim Mosher is hosting a few friends to join him in helping to create a day of peace through harp music.
Harpists for Peace is an international organization that believes world peace is a possibility. Over ten years ago we began with the idea about playing harp for an entire day, all over the world at the same local time. In this way the world would be surrounded by music with the intent toward peace for an entire day. Members participated in many different ways; performances, playing on the street corner, doing hands-on workshops, and playing in private.
Dr. Mosher normally offers a free performance at this time, sometimes alone and at others with friends joining in. This year he will be joined by harpists from Lawrence, Kansas City, Wichita and Lindsborg, some in person and others virtually.
We are limiting in person attendance to 25 to allow for social distancing. This event will also be available via our YouTube live stream.
