An assortment of short films will accompany the feature film. The Bells (1926), stars Academy Award winner Lionel Barrymore and horror film legend Boris Karloff. Organ music by Marvin Faulwell and percussion by Bob Keckeisen bring this classic film to life in the grand cathedral. The Bells is partially based on a poem by Edgar Allen Poe.
Silents in the Cathedral has been an annual community event for more than 20 years. The library partners with the Kansas Silent Film Festival, Inc. and Grace Episcopal Cathedral to put on this event that's funded by the Friends of the Library.
