The Water Department talk about key ways to protect our waterways & keep them clean! This will include a Gooey Garbage activity where you can add items to the landfill & learn how a landfill works.
The Water Department will also talk about recycling and where to take hazardous chemicals/items instead of taking them to the landfill.
A Zoo representative will also be there with a painted man-hole cover encouraging you to go paint a manhole cover at the Zoo that will then be placed somewhere around Topeka! (This is too large of a project to bring to the library.) We'll also have coloring and sorting marine animal activity.
