Meet renowned Nat Geo photographer & conservationist Joel Sartore, founder of the Photo Ark, a global mission to document every species in human care. The Topeka Zoo will sell his books at this event.
Joel Sartore is a photographer, speaker, author, teacher, conservationist, National Geographic Explorer and regular contributor to National Geographic Magazine. Known for his sense of humor and Midwestern work ethic, Joel focuses on documenting endangered species and landscapes to highlight a world worth saving. He founded the National Geographic Photo Ark, a multi-year project to document every species in zoos, aquariums and wildlife sanctuaries to inspire education and support conservation efforts. As he says, "When we save species, we're actually saving ourselves."
